Zlata Ladjica is a truly beautiful place to stay in the heart of Ljubljana. I was in the Mischievous Bells attic room, which was just right for one person. All of the room furnishings are luxurious – the bed is like sleeping on a cloud, and I bought two pairs of the slippers to take home as a souvenir. The staff were extremely helpful, even with little things, and always super lovely. Breakfast is huge, delicious and features all Slovenian ingredients. The location is perfect – I agree with previous comments that it was very quiet despite the very central location. I would love to stay here again someday!

Location is perfect. Staff is very kind and helpful. The lobby bar is stocked with a great selection of beers and wines. Our little balcony and the view from the room facing the Ljubljanica river was great. The coffee machine in the room is the best I have seen in a hotel room (grinds coffee on the go!) Also, the cosy spa that can be booked privately (having the sauna, steam room and relaxing waterbed) is a huge plus, especially after a long day of walking around the city. And to top all of this they pay attention to every detail for sustainability. I wish I had stayed longer.
