A peek into history …
The unbreakable bond between humans and dogs
The room got its name after the unforgettable Slovenian children’s film Happiness on a Leash, which came out in 1977 and was hugely popular, and saw screenings in 33 countries around the world. The protagonists consist of a boy Matic and his Newfoundland Jakob, and one of the most exciting scenes in the film takes place right under the windows of Zlata ladjica, next to the Cobblers’ Bridge.
Ljubljana is known as one of the most dog-friendly cities, and there is no need for your pup to stay back all alone at the hotel as you explore the city. With its many green areas Ljubljana is the perfect place for you to explore with your dog, and well-behaved pooches are welcome in many bars and restaurants. Except for rush hours, dogs are also allowed on city buses. They travel free of charge, but have to wear a muzzle.
